Snakes on a Patio, Part II

Today there were two baby snakes outside. Daddy found them and killed them with the shovel. At first Daddy thought they were good snakes, but his friend Jeremy and my teacher Miss Tasha told him they were bad snakes, and might hurt me. It is okay to kill snakes sometimes because some snakes are dangerous because they will bite you. Some are nice. Good snakes are all black. That is SnakersonDaddy put one of the dead snakes in a bag so I could bring it to school.

If I am outside and see a snake I run and go tell daddy and mommy, and close the door so snakes don't get in. There is a pretend movie about snakes on a plane... they aren't really on the plane. I want to go on a plane without snakes to Nana and Pop's house, but not today.

Sometimes snakes eat really big things like alligators. But there aren't snakes that big in my back yard. I can fight monsters with my hands and feet. I can freeze them with ice and then break them. Monsters are pretend. I saw a scary thing on a tv and it made me have bad dreams. When I have bad dreams I try to think of something else I like, but sometimes I can't get the bad ones out of my head. Happy things I think about are ice cream, roller coasters, water parks, and Evan. I also sometimes dream about songs and animals and going to the zoo and Hattie the fish and movies and pictures. I like movies that have a little bit of bad and good in them. Like spiderman... how there is good and bad in them. I also hope today that my flowers are growing.

That's all I want to say.

  1. Hi Liam!

I enjoy reading your blogs and reading what you are thinking about.

I am glad that daddy took care of the harmful snake. You are a smart little boy to have the plan in place that if you see a snake outside, that you go and tell mommy or daddy first.

Do you remember the snake you, Gigi and I saw on the sidewalk and in the grass when we went to Weeki Wachee? It was a good snake; one that was all black.

    I love you.

  2. Dear Liam,
Your Daddy has been my friend since he was a little boy. I went to North Carolina with your Mommy last week and she told me all about you. That is how I know that you are a smart boy!
I really like reading your blog. You have a lot of good things to say. On Sunday my husband walked into our bedroom and almost stepped on a snake on the floor. It was a black snake, but Mr. Wes was still scared. We don't know how that snake got into our house, but we got him out really quickly! You are smart to have a plan in case you ever see a snake.
    Love,
    Mrs. Rachael
