My Trip to a Mosque

Yesterday, I went to a mosque. A mosque is where Muslims pray five times a day. We went because someone set the entrance on fire because they don’t like Muslims. That is not nice. We should be nice to Muslims because they are just like everyone else.

I met lots of Muslims at the mosque. They were very nice. They gave us food—burrito like things with vegetables and meat in them. The women wore a hijab—which is a scarf that covers your head, which my friend told me is something they wear as part of their religion. When girls are 12 they get to choose if they want to wear one or not.

I was invited to join them for prayers. There was lots of people in the room. We all had to take our shoes off. They all had mats and they would kneel down on them. If they pray five times a day like they are supposed to, some of them have worn out spaces on their mats, and that shows that they pray a lot.

I talked to the leader, who is called an Imam, and told him about my friend at school. She is a refugee from Syria. I along with kids in my class taught her how to speak English. She taught us how to spell our names in Arabic.

I think it would be nice if other people visited a mosque too because they would learn that Muslims are the same as everyone else. Muslims just have a different religion.

The best restaurant in Clearwater

I went two times to La Fondita de Leo restaurant with daddy and Evan. It is Puerto Rican restaurant in downtown Clearwater. We walked there from our house. Our server was named Juan and he waited on us both times. He was good. He told us what foods we should probably get.

The order of my favorite foods are (best listed first):

- Chicken, plantains, and cream cheese wrapped in bacon covered with sweet fruit sauce
- Green Plantain Soup
- Shrimp wrapped in bacon
- Fried cheese covered in a sweet papaya sauce
- Croquettes with ham and cheese inside
- Shrimp Ceviche
- Steak Mofongo (an upside-down steak pot-pie with a plantain crust

There are two types of sauces—one was sweet and one was spicy. You should mix them together like I did.

The restaurant played Latin music. It was fun!!!

I think you should eat there because the food was awesome!!!

How to fly to Chicago by yourself for St. Patrick's Day

Step 1: get on the plane

Step 2: take a seat... I like the window seat because you can see cool stuff

Step 3: put on your seat belt because if you don't you will float in the air

Step 4: look out the window... I saw ice and buildings like the Sears Tower

Step 5: eat food... Not peanuts because someone was allergic on the
plane... Pretzels and apple juice

Step 6: wait a long time... try not to sleep because someone might take a picture of you

Step 7: get off the plane

Step 8: get your stroller... this is NOT my stroller... I have no idea who that is

Step 9: find your daddy

Step 10: catch a leprechaun

Manpris, bike rides, light savers, and a dead bird

Hi, my name is Liam, and I am blogging again today. I took a break from blogging because I didn't want to blog then. I am 4 years old, not 3. I was 3 last year. These are not my jeans. They are Evan's. Daddy dressed me.

Me, daddy, and Evan went for a bike ride in the rain. Me and Evan were riding in a rolling basket behind the bike. Me and Evan got dirty because daddy didn't shut the basket all the way. It was fun. Daddy got a lot wet.

Evan and I are watching Star Wars. The bad guys have red savers and the good guys have blue ones. If you haven’t seen it, it is a good movie about light savers.

Also, I saw a dead bird. It looked like this, and I put out a fire at the Children's Museum. That is all.

Setting the record straight on cheese snacks.

One of my friends doesn't know that these are called "cheesy puffs". She calls them Cheez-its. I wanted to blog tonight because everybody needs to know which is which because it is important to know real names. I will tell her tomorrow that she is wrong because I didn't yet. I don't know what she is going to say.

These are Cheez-its. Cheez-its are cheez-its. They are not cheesy puffs.

These are cheesy puffs. They are not Cheez-its.

Goodbye.

. . .
A note from the editor. The parental units are aware that we told him the wrong name for the cheese-rice-cake looking things. This seems to be a common practice as one blogger refferred to them as "Quaker Oat thing-a-ma-bobs that I call Quackies." Perhaps someone needs to work on their branding or at least revamp their marketing plan for preschoolers.

Evan's Teeth, my Fish and More.

I went to the movies with Mommy. We saw Madagascar because I filled up my sticker chart! For my new sticker chart I get to go to Chucky Cheese and another movie. We ate popcorn and M&Ms. The other kids in the movie were not being good. The moms knew the rules, but the kids did not.

I took this picture of Mommy and Evan. Evan almost has all his teeth.
This is Hattie. She is a fish. DooDah asked me to take a picture of Hattie. DooDah likes to catch fish with a hook. I will not let him try to catch Hattie. We have to leave her in her tank.

This is a picture of my finger. Evan squished it and it hurt. I wanted everyone to see what he did.

I Learned How To Take Pictures!

Today I took pictures with a camera.
First you look at the picture.
Next you push the button.
Then you can send it to people on computers or email it.
And then we can open the email and then we can blog about them.
The laundry room.
My letter board and Jesus magnet.
This is a picture of me pretending to be daddy.

My schoolhouse that the Wonder Pets live in.

My mega blocks. I make towers with them.
This is a picture of me eating a good dinner.
I got a sticker for it and get to go see Madagascar tomorrow!
I did not take this picture.
