Snake on a Patio!

This morning I went outside to look at my plants, and then I saw a big black SNAKE! The snake said "ssssssss" and I said, "MOMMA, THERE'S A SNAKE!" and she said, "CLOSE THE DOOR!" I ran and woke daddy up and said, "There is a snake outside." Then daddy told me to get a shovel, but I couldn't find a shovel. Then daddy went outside and I stayed inside. I wasn't scared, but I just wanted to look from the inside. Daddy laid down next to the snake to take pictures.

The snake stuck out his tongue. The snake's tail shook and the snake said, "ssssssssssss". Daddy said he was not scared, but he jumped really high when the snake moved. I think the snake was saying, "I want to come in your house! Is that Liam?"

When the snake ran away, it scared a lizard and I got a picture of the scared lizard. The black snake doesn't bite because he is a nice snake and doesn't even have any teeth. (Frogs don't have teeth either.) I named the snake Snakersen because I like that name. I wanted to keep him as an inside pet, but my mom didn't let me. That made me sad. She said snakes are outside pets and he might bother Hattie the fish. I want to visit Snakersen. All day I looked out the window to see if he had come back to play, but he didn't. Maybe tomorrow. We'll see. Oh, Snakersen.

Also, when I was outside with mommy, I saw my frog friend, and I thought he was dead, but he hopped away. I think he was just playing hide and seek. Also, I ate ice cream today. It was the chocolate kind.

  1. Snakes like Snakersen are really cool. They help to keep the ecosystem balanced (ask Daddy what that means). But they are definitely outdoor pets. Say hi to Momma Daddy and Evan for me. Next time I visit we'll have to go get some ice cream. I like the chocolate kind!
